...changing RCW 18.44 (effective June 9th) will put independent escrow under DFI and opposed to Dept of Licensing. Requirements may be a large strain on independents. Lawyers operating an escrow department will also be under DFI Surety Bonds will go from 50K to 250K - Background checks and credit required.
